BMW 320d edition m sport discount

Hi,this is my first post so here goes.I was due to take delivery of a 325d m sport in met black with black leather, prof nav etc last saturday. My friend who was going to detail it for me called on Friday to say come down to the dealer as it is is a shocking state.when i arrived what greeted me was beyong words. It was shocking condition paint wise for a 2000 mile 57 plate registered in nov 07.Car was covered in deep scratches and bird lime marks. As it was an ex management bmw uk car they said "oh we get worse than that in" so I rejected the car saturday morning! Problem was car was taxed and registered and insured to me,so to cut a long story short,we did a deal on a brand new 320d edition m sport.Spec is as follows:carbon black, lemon leather, privacy glass, climate windscreen, professional nav upgrade, carbon fibre rear spoiler from the performance catalogue, and folding mirrors. My original trade in on my 2007 o7 plate 8000 mile Audi A4 s-line 2.0t quattro special edition with nav was a very generous £20000 and I have haggled to have this honoured for delivery of the 320 in 6-7 weeks time and the best bit is I have got the 320d incliding extras for £28500.I think this is a cracking deal, but as this is my first BMW can anyone tell me if I have done ok on trade in and new car price? Will post pics as soon as it arrives.Oh and never buy an ex bmw management car without seeing it first! unless I was just unlucky. Thanks for any help, and great forum.

I am no expert but I have just ordered a 320d Edition M Sport touring, Upgrades include Pro Nav, Logic 7, USB , DAB, Visibility pack, folding mirrors, front park distance control and sliding armrest.
The car is being leased and the dealer is selling it to the lease company for £30,300.
Lease companies buy shed loads of cars so sounds as though you are getting a deal.

Anyone recommend a tuning box for the 177bhp model? also once it's run in hopefully the torque will make up for the difference in Audi power. You kind of get used to four wheel drive mind, especially in wet weather-you just plough on regardless, still nice to be back to rear drive, last rwd I had was a 2002 jag xjr, used to slide perfectly for a 2 ton car!!!

Coast2coastcars.com are doing that car, which comes with that spec. anyway, for....

SALOON SPECIAL EDITIONS 320d Edition M Sport 4dr £26826.82

Auto version....

SALOON SPECIAL EDITIONS 320d Edition M Sport 4dr Auto £28167.83

Upgrade from business nav to professional is £385.

So better deals out there, but is it not a bit late to be asking??

Trade price is fair, non special edition is booking at £19k without nav, so a fair price for your car.

Not sure if they are imports either, but it is much easier to walk into your local dealer 30 minutes away and get a good trade in and not have to have some delivery driver hammer it down the motorway Cap and glasses are booking about 19800 so when I take delivery, it would have lost more again,at least they rae honouring my trade in mprice for delivery date.mercedes offered £2000 less against a bottom spec c200 cdi sport auto that was 08 ex demo with no leather,so I am happy.

I guess it depends how you look at it, personally I find it easier to make a phone call and do it all over the phone, where as others will happily pay for going local which is fine, as long as I have a good relationship with the service department at my local dealer that is all I care about, the sales staff seem different every month anyway, so no loyalty from them with me, so not worried about buying local at all.

We sourced a 2.0T special edition s-line A4 from them for one of my staffs husband, with nav and bluetooth but not quattro for £22,200 which was around £4500 off list, that was one of the first ones with the grey/black leather on an 06 plate, very easy and they gave him top book on his trade it. Local dealer couldn't get within £3k of that price.

I go everywhere for my cars, Picked up a 6 month old 3 series touring from Belfast for £19k, it was £32k list. Drove it for 12 months and 46k miles and sold it for £18k.
But I like to swap my cars quite often so it is worth making a bit of effort so I don't loose money on them.

I still think the car you have bought is a cracking deal, but don't let them make out they have given you thousands off they haven't, they now come with the car, I know what sales guys are like.

At the end of the day that's the bit that matters. Sure some manage to get tremendous deals and some get completely done over backwards, but as long as you're happy with the deal you've got don't try and second guess yuorself. Just enjoy the new motor

Thanks guys, like you say as long as you are happy, and I am.Just glad I did not end up with the 325 57 plate!Really looking forward to it arriving.Hopefully will never see the service dept. until it needs servicing, still cant be worse than my local audi dealer,I use to drive 70 miles to the next dealer just for warranty work as the local one was so bad. Will look into the tuning after i have settled in to it.Cheers.

I got my 320d Edition Msport with Nav upgrade, USB interface, heated seats and auto wipers and lights for just over £27000.

I did wait till the last day of Q1 though.
