Wood planks are attached to the ramps via locking pin/bolt.
This way the ramps won't slip away.
I also have a spotter when I drive up the ramps just to be safe.

I like your way to raise the car with the wood. I'll have to implement your way with my Rhino ramps

I made some home made ramps from some wood that I had laying around. It doesn't get high enough for me to do an oil change but it gets high enough for me to get my jack under and get minor things done.
