Thought you guys might be interested in this thread I made over in the 128i N52 engine section as it applies to you as well.

Stock exhaust except the Supersprint headers. And no, the golf tee mod doesn't just apply to 335s.

Not a problem.
I know the N52 doesn't get much love which is a shame as I think it is the last great engine BMW will make.

Now it's all about forced induction... I don't know why but i just prefer natural aspiration. Anyone can slap a turbo on an engine a be like "look its more betterer"

No question in my mind. Over 200lbs lighter, no lag, no overheating, more reliable, and with the right mods the N52 is at 300 crank HP, which is perfect.

Looks like not? I don't own a 328i, but RealOEM indicates you guys don't have the vacuum flap that the 128i has which is the part one disables in the "golf tee" mod.
128i: http://realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?mo...62&hg=18&fg=20 328i: http://realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?mo...22&hg=18&fg=20 That sucks for you guys.

Light red is before, dark red is after. Same for orange in torque.

279.2 PS "standard performance" 277.3 PS "engine power" 219.4 PS "wheel power" Graph shows almost a 20hp gain throughout the entire powerband, yet the actual numbers don't make sense to the graph. EDIT: I think I get it, they didnt post any of the before numbers. Just wheel, estimated flywheel and "standard" corrected.

I have to admit you make 300hp from a 3L N52 sound way easier then it is, haha. Either way, the N52 truly is the last great non-M motor built. for M, i'd say the s65, s85, s54 are most worthy of mention.

Pretty sure the secondaries won't allow a passing smog test anywhere. A tune that provides seven out of eight readiness monitors green after the drive cycle is all you're going to get from anyone other than Evolve.

Coated and wrapped headers, straight pipe exhaust, higher redline with the right tune (BPC Alpha-N), 3IM, low turbulence intake, and bored throttle body can get pretty close and it's easy. Maybe 320bhp with regrind cams, we'll see.
