INPA not communicating. 07/2005 E90

Hello,

As the title states, INPA is not communicating with my car. No battery, or ignition lights. To start the process from when the ignition is off I:

1. Attach OBD cable (green LED on) to car and PC USB (tried from both on and off state)
2. Put FOB in ignition, and press START button (engine off)
3. Launch INPA

I have c:\ediabas\bin in my $PATH, and as you can see below, I have selected STD:OBD as my interface, which I am not sure is correct.

My environment consists of EDIABAS Serial OBD cable, with the recommended serial to USB adapter as shown in another post on this site.

Windows 7 x64 running Windows XP SP3 32-bit via VMWare Workstation 8

OBD Cable:

Serial to USB adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details

System Info:

Port Settings/Driver Info (No Timer Latency option under Advanced!! Why??)

Using the Driver in the Hardware\OBD\USB1.1 folder... Also tried one from vendor website.

ODBSetup.exe, C:\EDIABAS\BIN\ediabas.ini

Sorry for the crappy pics if you need me to re-snap any of them let me know.

Thanks folks!
