Rear driveshaft reluctor ring replacement

Got the usual corroded rear reluctor issue

Got 2 on route to replace corroded ones

How easy is it to remove the driveshaft on the e90?

Any help and hints would be awesome
Going to attempt next weekend

Thanks guys

Can't imagine it's hard but you might disturb the alignment? What age is your car out of curiousity?

Take the bottom arm bolt out at hub end, remove the driveshaft nut,and the shaft will push out the hub.Its getting it back in again that's the issue. We use a hydraulic puller to pull them am back in again as they're very tight.

you weren't wrong

i replaced the driverside rear myself on the drive, struggled on for hours

lost the head so got the local garage to do cash in hand for the otherside as i couldn't be bothered struggling on again.

total cost of repair

£19.98 for 2 new reluctor rings and £40 for the garage to do passengers side

so repaired for £60, absolutely delighted as its been bugging me for a while now
