FS/T: K&N Air filter

Hey I ordered this filter a few days ago, but decided to just swap the stock box with a new intake. I havn't even picked it up yet so unopened box. Sells for 50 bucks looking to get 40 or any type of trade offers.

Well before you decided to just sale it, may i ask what intake you are going with? Best combo for our cars is a drop in filter and charcoal delete. The so called Cold air intakes are nothing but BS and will make your car sluggish.

soconfuse?: sounds good pm me. And as for the opinion about the intake i chose to go with, I obviously thought the K&N + delete was good enough to pre order the filter and pay for it, but it is simply not true performance wise that that setup is better. If you are speaking from experience maybe you installed your intake wrong. Yea and sounds so much better too.

^ what? lol .. So what cold air intake did you go with? Your obv a n00b if you think your gonna gain some serious power , no i didnt get a cai cuz there are threads over and over from people claiming they lose power. You cant beat the factory box setup unless you go with a eurobox . I bet you bought you bought some gay shit for sound rather then performance lol go back to your honda days little boy. You prob went with Injen or AFE, but im gonna say you went AFE..

Yea what'd you go with? I had the BMS single filter but had to take it out to go to the dealer. Wanna put change it around when I put something back in there....

go to the N/A section and read every thread on air intakes and CAI. It's pretty unanimous that unless you are getting the eurobox, the K&N + charcoal delete is your best bet. When i say unanimous, I'm not talking about a bunch of people on K&N's nuts, I am also referring to people who had those $300+ intakes or the $75 AFE filters on their cars for a few weeks then put them up for sale and went with the K&N.

Regardless if you go with the K&N or the $300+ CAI set up you will only see what? Maybe 3whp? and that's a big maybe (provided your car isn't tuned and you don't drive in a wind tunnel). I'd save my self $250+ and put it towards an AA tune....

you have a 335, and this is for 325/28/30's only

But op, you made a bad decision, as a lot of us early adopters in the forum did.
Injen in particular is known to lose a ton of power, and torque...
On initial startup its maybe slightly better that stock, but the shotty heat shields and open air cone filters that they come with allow insane heatsoak really fast, and you will lose throttle response and power
I made the same mistake as you, so I am not ranting, just trying to save you some cash, and what little power our NA car's already have

Thank You for the advice everyone I really appreciate it. I don't know where you get off calling my car a ricer, all I wanna do is sell this K&N filter so someone can benefit from my mistake I guess you could call it. For those who are interested for about 100 dollars more I got an intake that I am really happy with weather it is sound or performance my car feels a lot better. I bought my 328i knowing there wasn't much I could do to increase performance, so believe me no one was expecting serious gains, but I enjoy the sound for now and thats all that really matters. Maybe it was my stock air box that was the problem. I'll be sure to add to those threads hating on intakes if the other foot drops and I lose power or if I get sick of the noise or if I have to take it to dealer. Again appreciate the advice, but very happy with my decision. Please PM if interested in the filter.

GLWS OP, it's all about what makes us happy with our particular cars and how we choose to set them up.

I've got a KNN cone and absolutely love it. Someone should pick this up as it's a great deal.
