any good car wash places in downtown toronto?
Hey guys,
are there any good car wash places in downtown toronto? I want a place that handwashes the car. I'd do it myself, but it's getting cold outside I also don't want to spend too much money either $100 or less

I know there is a hand wash/detailer in the Sheraton hotel garage on Queen.. I've never used them, but a friend told me good things. I think they do in/outs for a good price. Worth checking out.

Most Esso stations have "no touch" touchless washes - that's what I use for the quick clean jobs.
I'm still looking around the GTA for indoor wash bays that are heated and toasty in the winter time, you can pull in and clean up your ride, detail it, and pull out of the building into the harsh cold. They had one out east where I went to school of all places, it was awesome. |

I find that those touchless car wash places (like Sunoco, Esso) aren't very good. The water jets just aren't strong enough to get rid of all the dirt thats stuck to the car. Several times I've done the Ultimate wash at Sunoco and most times I'm left unsatisfied. I think they're only useful during the winter as it is the fastest way to get rid of the salt on the car.

There's a handwash/detailer across from Guvernment,
in the parking lot of the Loblaws complex. It's called Mr.Shine, a handwash is $12.95 I've only used it once on the 993. I've seen some really hi-line cars in there so I figured they take care. I was satisfied, but really, nobody's going to be as careful as the car owner. Touchless washes ... i dunno man, it took me an awfully long time to zaino my car. I figure if it's touchless, they must need to use some serious detergents. I'd hate to have it strip off my hard work. JMHO, I know others disagree and feel touchless won't take off the wax/sealant.

I used to use planet carwash at king and bathurst (south west corner) which will hand wash it for you. I can't remember the prices, but they did a decent job.
I thought I saw one in the eaton centre car park, but I've never used it. |

I found a great place today...it's called P3 Car Wash, which is located in P3 of the Manulife Center off of bay and bloor. I'm quite satisfied with the results...I ordered the full exterior/interior wash + wax and it came out to $60. My friend recommended this to me because he always saw some sort of supercar/ultra lux car in their car wash.
Well I'm satisfied I even got a few thumbs up while driving back to my condo

Under $100? Well, as much as I hate to say it you could bring it to me. I promise I do a better job than the hand wash guys right downtown. Of course, if that's not an option I always recommend shooting over to a coin op, putting a twoonie in, and just spraying off the wheels and undercarriage. Remember, it's easier to leave it dirty than it is to remove swirls in the spring.

I wouldn't trust any of those places. Just because some bozo investment bankers get their ferrari's or maserati's detailed there, doesn't mean they do a good job. Half those guys don't even appreciate the cars they drive. Purely a status purchase for them. Trust me, I work in the same area and know many of these guys. The majority haven't even popped the hood of their car to see the engine! The only person to let hand wash your car is Picus.

baseline treatment. But as I stated above, nobody will care for the car as well as it's owner....or perhaps Picus!

Plant Car Wash on King and Bathurst. I went there a handful of times to get my IS washed and I absolutely loved how it came out.
