A Euro Delivery trip of epic proportions

wow reminds me of my ED trip. I left America on a nice Friday night and returned to America on a nice Sunday afternoon 2 days later lol

Nice trip- I'm doing an 18 day ed in May. Beware that your plates or insurance will not be valid in liechtenstein though.

I remember reading that somewhere, but I figured it couldn't hurt to drive through to say I've been there.

I live in Waldfeucht....right where the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet...you should be driving VERY close to my house on the way to Amsterdam....let me know if you want to stop by....I could probably save you some money in some way or another....

We go up to Amsterdam often...love that city...and I've been to most of the places you listed.....heading out to Prague next month....can't wait to go there....

It's actually cheaper to order for European Delivery than for direct dealer delivery. Either way the car ends up at the dealer you ordered the car from. I'm not sure what the 2011 pricing is, but on the 2010 (pre Jan price hike) it was $39,245 Base for Euro Delivery, and $42,200 Base for standard order. Search the New Car section of the forum, there's tons of info on Euro Delivery there, or you can check BMW's page on it @:

I'll actually be driving a big circle around you! Nurburg-> Luxembourg-> Chimay-> Brussels-> Amsterdam.

Yeah, I'm in an odd location..out in the country kind of....the A46 is right down the road but it starts/ends here and goes East....so yeah, there's no way you'd come next to me that way...and on the other side in the Netherlands....you'd have to be coming up through Germany to pass by within 5 miles or so. Brussels is only an hour west of me....

Believe me, us military stationed over here are in heaven. We get paid/paid more actually along with rent (which is especially awesome if you're military married to military which I am) to live here. I love living out in the country here and my location compared to most others in Germany. I can throw a rock into the Netherlands from my house...

I was wondering what you were going to do in the Kaiserslautern area myself...we go down there quite often.....

I plan on it. In fact, I'm having to make a special trip back to Munich to do the Factory Tour, as they have one of their scheduled shutdowns (April 6, 2009 until April 18, 2009) when I get there.
