going to dealer for HPFP recall, should i delete fuel pump code?
what's up guys, i'm going into the dealer for the fuel pump recall. i checked for codes and the only one i'm getting is 2AAF (fuel pump) with 3 events. should i delete the codes? keep in mind that when the codes where thrown i had JB3 2.0 installed, i'm going into the dealership with the JB3 removed.

Did you get a letter for the recall? If not, then you may want to leave the code cause it's possible they may only update your software.. if they see a code they should replace the HPFP with the latest and greatest fuel pump + update software

I left my code in tact (with jb3 removed) and my dealer switched out my hpfp fine. If my pump gives out again I'm going to clear all the codes and just drive around until it pops back up. Just to be safe.

Yep, with it installed and without it. My car sputtered a lot and then the code would pop up.

I bought the car back in June and I haven't received a letter either, I called bmwNA and they told me I was eligible for the recall... S you might be eligible even though you didn't receive a letter

I called my dealer about my CPO yesterday and told them its idling rough (slightly) ticking noise ( waste gate) and they told me I am scheduled for 3 recalls, Injectors, HPFP, and update. so its scheduled. so call them if you are under warranty or CPO.
Jay 2007 335i E93 66K miles CPO till 100,000 mods: DCI, V3 rev 1 (still got DCI in but will take the vishnu out and clear all codes with a snap on Modis) |
