People have done it but I have no idea what's involved. The fenders on the coupe are different to the m3s. Even if you roll your fenders, the inner arch is not flush with the fender. You need to cut the inner lip which many people say you shouldn't bother, but some do.

Got 25mm on the back of mine and 10m on the front, will see how it sits when lowered next month.

Does it make difference if using long bolts as opposed to bolting the spacer to the hub then bolting the alloy to the spacer? |

20mm on my rears (stock 225m wheels with 255 Hankook Evo2 tyres ) rubbed worse than a Bangkok prostitute. Even the 15's would rub on dips in the road. Still mean to roll the arches but I hate the idea of adding additional weight that needs to be rotated and stopped during acceleration and braking. I do like the better stance though.

I have bought some 10mm spacers for the front, but they are non hubcentric, which I don't like the idea of the bolts taking the load of the cars weight and shocks from the road, they have the correct centre bore size, but can the cause wheel imbalance and a dreaded steering wheel shake?
Thanks Luke |
