Question Looking for good Sub/Amp Combo!

Hello, I'm currently looking to add a trunk sub-woofer to my 07 335i. I did some searching around the forums and three brands keep popping up: JL Audio, Image Dynamics, and Pheonix Gold. I want to keep this under $400 if possible, so which brand do you guys recommend? For the size I was thinking 10" should be enough for a nice bass yet not too overwhelming. I listen to alot of electro and hip hop, so the bass definitely has to hit those low frequencies, if that make sense... :\. I already have purchased the Technic Harness, and i'll simply be adding an amp and sub into the trunk. an angled enclosure seems like a good idea, but again i'm not too sure.

What would you recommend from their inventory of 10" or do you think I should run with a 12"?

I can't give sub advice

I can't give sub advice
There is a thread called the ultimate sub thread here someplace.
The enclosure and its placement makes a large difference from what
I gather more than the size of the speaker .
