2012 335is with about 12k.. Had the hpfp replaced and the left muffler replaced due to a rattle in the tailpipe besides that car is amazing. I recommend getting the wheel and tire insurance if your going to get the 313 rims.

Thanks!

2011 with DCT w/staggered Hankooks -have over 33k+ miles...no problems. Purrs like a kitten when idling and growls responsively when I ask her to. Most beautiful and sleek machine I have ever owned. Good mpg on the Hwy at 25.5 2011 N54 and the HPFP issue is/should be fixed. I would highly recommend the car. Rides even better without the RFT.

I'd be willing to bet the SA just wants to have a chance to chat you up so he causes your car to have issues He has your address on the write up so if you park your car outside... who knows... maybe he crawls under the car and does something

You know I'm joking right!

Hey what is going to be performed on your 3rd service appointment? And how exactly are they going to reprogram the software to fix your LC engagement, do you know if this is just a DME update or re-program?

Did your speaker blow all of a sudden or were tunes being played for a long period of time then you noticed it?

I am actually at the dealership right now replacing the front tire on my 335is, so I would definitely recommend the wheel and tire coverage. But other than that. I had to have some spark plugs replaced with the fuel pump due to some stalling and that was around 47k miles.

I live in an area with very few potholes and fairly decent roads, is the tire insurance really necessary?

All good info. Seems like the HPFP is still somewhat of a concern though its hit or miss.

sorry OP for thread jack but since you have a good general idea of what to expect, i just wanted to ask a question regarding the 335is.

Sara whats your mpg currently and during the break in process was it lower than what you're experiencing now?

i have 650 mi on it and have fueled it up 3x in the last two weeks and im getting 16-17 mpg and this is all maintaining 70 mph tops on the freeway... is this normal?

hopefully this will help the OP as well, in knowing what to expect with gas mileage. (on the other hand you, OP, have some really nice cars.. so gas probably isn't worth the consideration haha)

Got a 2011 335is and I don't think you can compare this car to the 335i. (tranny/ sofware / extra bits and pieces to keep the car running cooler. So wouldn't pay much attention to 335i issues.

So far no problems. I do 100% stop n go traffic and I get 11.5 mpg. A full tank gets me between 175- 200 miles. Waiting for a nice long road trip to see how much mpg will increase and and how many miles a full tank gets me on 100% highway driving.

Love the way the RFT's look, hate the way they feel.

No. Pushing it around town hard in S + M mode with the JB4 18mpg, normal D range in town 21mpg, highway 70-80mph cruise near 30mpg.

Picture is just after a 15gal refuel all inside Raleigh City limits. It was a little better than usual.

So who's MPG is correct? Is it high 17-19 city and mid to high 20s on the highway or is it 17 all the time? Can others chime in please. I am going to be using the car for alot of commuting so I don't want to be getting 19 on the highway!!!

LOL I read this and had to do a double-take. Then I saw your location and it all made sense. Quite a rare car to have in Germany I imagine, being a North America exclusive. Then again, seeing a 325i or greater in Germany was somewhat rare. I wouldn't buy any bigger engine either if gas was $9/gallon...

I think a couple of months ago one guy started a thread curious about the IS HPFP issues. Only one was reported in that thread. Of course you have to take into consideration we are a minority here... most IS owners are probably not on this forum.
I have 3200 miles on mine and no problems yet.

Question...

----
My 335is speedometer is only in KM\H (Canadian) and yours is in both MPH and KM/H..... Odd?

Well that's a plus of being a service member in Germany then, haha. My father was stationed in Stuttgart from 95 to 97 and the locals always wanted the gas vouchers. When we went to Germany in 2011, going to the base and getting everything dirt cheap was a sticker shock from what we were used to when we first arrived.
