Congrats to the team and Seb - a nailbiting last race and one of the best seasons I've ever seen. I won't be opening any champers... I don't like it....

Was a crazy race. Always felt Vettel would hold on even when in 20th. Watching his race cam was fun.
I was going to create a thread to see if anyone else's interest faded this season. Maybe Red Bull's comeback and subsequent domination made it boring? Or the fact that we knew a Brit wouldn't win it? |

Been watching F1 for years and years and I cannot remeber a better race or season!!! Congrats to RB and Vettel , was suprised to see on the BBC website alot of people don't like him, which I don't understand....though that Alonso chap isn't half bad....Cannot wait for 2013, have already nearly persuaded the wife Belgium is a lovely place to visit towards the end of August next year

Very happy to see Vettel win. Shows his character to keep it together during the events of the race - crashes and poor tyre selection.. A very worthy champion.
Great to see Schumacher concede position to his sucessor in his last race. Schumacher is an absolute legend and got zero air time - overshadowed on this occasion by the race for the title..

First practice in a few days isnt it I will savour this year and enjoy the last year of v8 formula one. I'm quite sad this has happened and i'm glad they banned that stupid blown diffuser that made them sound like a crushed can in a bike tyre. On the flip side i'm sure a turbo charged v6 will still sound very nice even at limited rev's and i just wonder and hope! that a turbo charged engine will bring about some interesting racing. I assume they are a lot more efficient which means less fuel, lighter cars and possibly a totally different approach to tyre strategies. I think 2014 will be interesting. Can't wait for march the 17th. |

100kg of fuel as opposed to 150kg if i recall correctly, turbo spinning at 125,000 rpm the new V6 will out accelerate the current 2.4 V8 by some margin.

Are you referring to the 1.5l turbo charged beast?
