Cool Painting the Brake Calipers... opinions?

Hello All,

I'm a new member to the forum, but have been an avid reader for many months. I have a crimson red 335i (sedan) and have been wanting to paint the brake calipers to add a slight flare to the appearence of the wheels.

I've been debating either red (to match the paint, but thought that might be a little too much red?), or yellow. What would you all suggest?

TIA

I think the Light Blue color of the BMW 3-stripe colors would work. At least then there's a theme of the Red and Blue of the BMW colors.

That sounds like a pretty nice color. I've got to wait until I can get the winter rims off the car to imagine how it would look as I've got the OEM 7 spoke rims on the car now...

if you decide to skip color altogether, just painting them a metal looking silver can help them look nice in the long run.

I miss the Ramstein area terribly! Spent over 6 years there over two tours in K-Town! Spent a total of 13 years of my 26 year career in Germany!

I've been here for 18 years, and I still love it. The other day I was driving to Frankfurt and got my 335i up to 240kph! Your signature block is very true, especially in Germany.

When you say silver, are you talking about a dark silver or a lighter metalic silver? Also, would you reccomend any brands that can take the beating of driving a 335? I'm 'guestimating' that the brakes on these cars can get hotter than the usual 4cyl DeSols.
