Haha well if I can recruit people from Cali again then maybe!
Why not set up something small in May, or is everyone really busy until June? Maybe we can go see a movie or something.

I've got to give the car a wash tonight to get off all of the pollen, and get it 90% emptied out, check tire pressure and lug torque, pull off my wheel center caps, etc. |

Had a GREAT time. We only had one accident...someone crashed his 3-series into the inside wall on a straight-away. It was quite late in the day, and all of my runs were done, so I didn't hang around to see what the deal was...everyone was speculating mechanical failure. Driver and instructor got out of the car, so I assume both are OK. My car handled beyond my expectations, and I wasn't even pushing it that hard. I didn't get R compound tires, was just running my Eagle F1s. They handled very well all day. They'd scream bloody murder, but the car would just hang on. I was quite suprised how good they looked after a full day. Even in the dry, that AWD just pulls and pulls, especially noticeable exiting turns when the weight of the car is heavily on the outside wheels. Handling was extremely neutral, no incidence of the understeer prevalent in some other AWD cars. Of course, I couldn't keep up in my lowely 328 with the EVO, STI, M3s, Z3s and Z4's in the straights, but I'd catch 'em easily enough in the corners. Even my "slow" car was hitting 100mph in the straights. I've known my instructor for over 8 years...totally outside of the BMW circle. We worked together for years. He was fantastic. He provided clear, concise feedback and instructions. Truly a great teacher. I can't tell ya how much fun it is to get out there and drive. I'll definitely be doing another of these. The next one's in July, but I don't know about that one...it gets really freaking hot out there and it'll be worse in July. |

It said it was going to rain all this week and it hasn't.
Who cares about rain anyways? Maybe it's just because I'm used to the S. Florida summers where it rains every day.
