TPMS keeps going off

I just got a new set of Dunlop Wintersports M3 Runflats put on my 161's and the tire pressure monitor keeps going off. When I check the tires I find one low tire, but each time its a different corner. I have had this set up for the last few winters and not experienced this problem. Tire installer says the rims are fine. Tire pressure is at factory recommendation. What else might cause this? The Valve stems are new. Could they be bad, as in, not designed for BMW rims? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Make sure the valve stems are secured to the TPMS and that the installer made sure there were no air leaks around the valve stem.

are you setting the pressure before driving or after driving?

if you arent doing it when its "cold", the tires will vary in their pressure change when they cool down

when you drive, the tires heat up and pressure increases. if you reset the tpms after driving, when the tires cool back down, the pressure drops and you get the tpms alert.

check and adjust your tire pressure, then reset the tpms BEFORE you start driving. it takes less than 1/4 mile for the sensors to initialize. if you dont have a compressor at home, overinflate your tires by 5-6 psi over your targets on your way home. in the morning, when the tires are absolutely cold, bleed off the excess pressure to get to your targets, then reset the tpms and then drive off.

the above applies to both ftm and TPMS pressure monitoring systems

I had this problem when I first fitted winter tires. The dealer was able to check all the tpms, and it turned out I had a faulty sensor in one of my wheels. Sensor replaced and labor paid by Tire Rack!
