trunk wont open???

anyone ever have this problem? my button on the trunk or the push button in the cab or the key fob wont open the tunk, i have to go through the ski bag and pop my seats open then pull the emergency latch anyone have a clue to what the problem could be?

I had this problem in my older e92, I think if you glovebox is locked you can't open the trunk or SOMETHING like that, it has to do with the car being in "valet mode" I remember it was a simple fix though, so simple I don't even remember what the problem was... but is your glovebox locked?

In the U.S. there is a valet switch in the glovebox at the upper left side to lock the trunk so the remote or key will not allow it to open.

There is a small button with a picture of the car with the trunk lid open above the hood release handle.

there we go! I knew it had something to do with the glovebox lol

thanks guys ill try that tonight maybe i bumped that getting the flashlight out, but yea there is a lil button above the hood release that makes total sense i just hope thats all it is and nothing more serious
