Evolve E92 M3 Power Upgrades (dyno's attached)

We've come to the end of the basic bolt on power upgrades on the E92 M3 now and the results are as follows:

Wheel Power / Wheel Torque:

Some of you who have been to us will clearly identify that these results are all the 'lower figures' from these upgrades. We could post up the top figures but we believe it's better to be conservative.

The stages are as follows:

Stage 2 - Evolve ECU remap, Remus Rear Exhaust, Active Autowerke Power Pulley, BMC Filter

Stage 3 without custom tune - As per stage 2 but with Active Autowerke deCAT/X-Pipe

Stage 3 with Custom Tune - As per stage 3 but with some changes made to the ignition and fuelling tables.

All power runs done in 3rd gear on a Dyno Dynamics machine (which is the correct gear). 4th gear gives 450bhp on a totally stock car which is obviously totally wrong.

Most of the rear exhausts are all coming in giving approximately 5-10bhp in isolation.

The real power is coming from changing the crankshaft pulley and cats/centre section. The best thing here is that it's not all top end power either, the power/torque is raised through the entire rpm range.

What's really stunning is the noise the Active Autowerke mid section makes, it is absolutely stunning.

We have variations of the above upgrades using different exhaust components such as the Akrapovic cats/mid section, Akrapovic rear exhaust, AA rear exhaust, Tubi rear exhaust, remus rear exhaust etc etc. They will all make the same end power.

We are hoping to break the 460 barrier with our new carbon intake which will be released in the very near future.

We also already know we can break the 460 barrier using 99ron fuel. The above graphs are all using 97ron fuel.

sounds good Sal, when did you guys buy an M3?

Have you tried 100cell cats mate? Or are they not available yet?

When did the AA pulley came out for the M3?

Hmmmm, needs a bit more torque I think.

Hello Carl,

these upgrades were carried out on customer cars, no M3 for us just yet!

100-Cell Cats give hardly any restriction. Independant dyno's of the Akrapovic exhaust has shown similar power gains to decatting the M3.

The AA pulley has been out for some time now.

I read the title as if it was your car

AA pulleys been out over a year? Enable better set-up of the timing?

Bet it sounds nice with the exhaust!

The pulleys have no effect on timing but are an underdrive design.

Exhaust sounds stunning. Pops and bangs occasionally on the over run too.

The standard car feels really flat and lifeless compared to the stage 3 especially at low rpms.
