Black grill

I've come across black grills for my e92. However they are black gloss. Anyone got any pics on a bmw? Also should I get matt or gloss?

Thanks!

IMO the black gloss look the best (the bmw performance ones are glossy black) it matches the high gloss trim round the windows etc.

here's mine.

Mine is wrapped with that carbon fibre film on the outer part & sprayed matt black by me. Dead easy to do, cheap & looks like I paid good money for it.

Not a close up but gives you some idea. I prefer matt effect as gloss is a bit to blingy.

Now there's a question....

IIRC they were from the states & are 8500 thunder? about 35 delivered. To get them looking nice & bright in the day time I have to have the day running lights on all the time (I drive option) & as soon as you switch to side light they go dim and loose the effect. You can use them till until headlights are required but as it goes darker there are no instrument lights using day running lights.

Been using the day lights for this reason so lights always on for the last 18 months. Adds to the effect. Would like to do the chrome trim on doors but I am looking for a GTR as my next car but may not get it de chromed although I might put the car in storage whilst I get a GTR (only want it for 6 months) & then go back to the beemer.

Black grills look 'bad' (as in good) on Silver, Grey and Le Mans Blue BMWs I think (in that order). But I just can't seem to bring myself to put Black grills on my Black E90

Has your front tyre been put on inside out? The Goodyear looks peculiar!? Or is it my eyes?

New BMW Performance Black Grilles
eBay £65 posted from Stratstone, Hull

Where I got mine from.

Mail them first to make sure you get the right ones - I got pre-LCi when I'd asked for LCi, but they replaced them quickly so I can't complain - even collected the wrong ones so no return postage!

Ahh.....is there a difference between the grills then? I did not think the LCI e92 changed the grills?
