I just had my first major service on my MY2009 E90 335i. I have only done 30,000k, so I decided to go back to the dealer (Bib Stillwell) also the warranty ran out last year.
I turned my Procede Rev3, off and didn't tell them I had a tune. There are no other mods to the car. Total bill was $1,300 No comments came back about a tune I wasn't happy with the charge, but expected this anyway. Next time I will most likely try Southern BM. One thing I must say, once I put the procede back into action, the car seems to be running much better than pre the service Last edited by Michael BD; 07-19-2012 at 11:43 PM.. |

Regardless, get your car serviced more frequently than the books require.
Especially if tuned - old oil will ruin your car, 10,000km should be about the max, 5-7k if you want to play it safe |

Depending on particular service center
With some searching. You'll find a service center that's better than BMW Assuming your out of warranty I double my oil change recommended intervals at a local shop Don't trust BMW oil intervals

It isn't difficult to do the minor services/ oil changes yourself these days especially with excellent DIY tutorials. The $ you have saved in servicing costs you can buy your own coffee machine and various tools (socket set, screwdrivers, torque wrenches etc)
For the record, retain all your purchase receipts i.e 5L of oil from SCA and fill out the logbook yourself. When it comes time to sell you can use the receipts as proof that the car had been serviced on the dates in the logbook. |

Call Greg at Peter Maybe Crows Nest - good shop that only works on BMW.
Has anyone tried the European specialist in the garage on Mowbray Road Lane Cove? I often see loads of M-B and BMWs getting serviced there *and* it's on the way to work for me. |
