wiper blade streaks...poor service

started getting streaks on the driver's side just couple weeks after replacing the blades...dealer actually said my windshield is badly chipped which causes streaks....and they refused to replace the blades coz they said the streaks will come bak soon after...

also found out that my maintainence plan covers blades replacement which means they shouldn't have charged me last time...now they're trying to make it tough for me to get my $ back...basically service directs me to parts, and vice versa.....coz the SA said i should go after the SA that did my service 2 weeks ago....but it was through express service and i purchased the blades directly from parts...this is a PITA

If you went straight to the parts department to buy the wiper blades, then I don't really see what the dealer did wrong.

just talk to the service manager that they made you purchase on blades which it should've been covered under warranty and ask for free blades this time and have it squared away... you still want new blades anyways. it would be much easier on both you and the dealer to work it out that way instead of getting your money back.

on top of that you will find hard time returning electric parts and wear-out parts like blades at the part department, especially when it's open and used...

Write to BMW Canada corporate or whatever it is you have in Canada. Dealerships like this will not do anything for you until BMW Corp threatens them.
