18" to 19" wheels

I have swapped from the standard m sport 18" wheels to 19" M6 reps with 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear tyres and wonder if anyone else has noticed that the car seems to lose some of its instant urgency on the throttle with the bigger wheels/tyres fitted? Why is this or is it just my imagination?

The next step is to remap and then lower the car. Is it worth changing shocks and springs or is just changing the springs enough to give a more sporty ride?

I would imagine that the 19" wheels are heavier.
