JLMotoring Rear Diffuser Performance Style

Hi guys

I'm interested in JL Motoring CF Diffuser Performance Style.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=297247

I hope to get some feedback from you guys who have actually bought and installed it. Do you run into any problem? How is the fitting?

Thanks for any input.

I have it and it's just ok. From 10'+ it looks pretty nice, 5' ok, close up - not so much. I'd give fitment 7/10 at best. The carbon fiber inserts attach separately and don't really fill the area they're supposed to so you have to decide whether to align them at the top of bottom of the space. The CF along the bottom is not laid all that well, and there are a few pinholes where it looks like whatever filler they use collapsed. You have to cut your stock bumper - (no instructions on this) and you lose a couple of attachment points when you do. Also, it seems like a one-size-fits all part where the underside doesn't have attachment points for all bumpers (at least not my msport) and there are points that don't line up to anything.

I don't hate it enough to trash it, but if I had to do it again I'd just get the OEM diffuser off the IS that LTBMW sells. It's not that much more and there are numerous options for paint, carbon wrap, etc.

This is about as close as you can get without seeing alot of flaws and if you really look at gaps you can certainly see them.

Glad I did a search - I also was going to order one of these - I guess so much for their '100% Guaranteed Fitment'

I'll be looking to LTBMW or Tischer...

Good feedback. From the pics it looks like it fits pretty good.

Curious, what size exhaust tips do you have?

I'd have to measure them, they're the stock tips on the BMW Performance Exhaust. If I had to guess, about 4".

Just ordered an iS/Sport Diffuser from Evan @ Tischer yesterday $302 shipped

If you want the CF look - JL does sell a CF version of the Lower/Center finned part that is nothing more than a cover for the OEM piece - but they want ~$230 for it - hell the entire OEM diffuser only runs $285...

Bought mine from Evan and Jason - painted it matte black for about 15 bucks and it looks awesome on the car! JL one is way too much money in my book!
