Colorado E90
My 335xi alongside it's Triumph and Aprilia stablemates. Fast spoken here
The e90 shows it's practical side. I wanted a 335 coupe, my wife wanted a 328 sedan....We compromised Yesterday.....Hard to keep her clean in winter. The 17" Conti all-season tires are adequate for most conditions. In the Spring, I'll swap them out for snow tires and mount 18" wheels with performance tires for summer. Sometimes, only chains and a blade will do. This is why I live and ride in the mountains... Hoosier Pass at 11,500ft/3,500meters with two 14ers/4,300meters in the background. Keystone Ski Area in late fall. In summer, Lake Dillon offers challenging sailing conditions as well as kayaking. Last edited by Yostwerks; 01-08-2009 at 05:20 PM.. Reason: New Pics |

The 335 , as fine as it may be, is still my working car. I spend my "mod" money on the bikes In fact, I'm trying to source a trailer hitch to pull a small folding motorcycle trailer. The only one I have found is a "Curt" and it fits the 328xi , but not the 335xi . I'll find a workaround for the statement below. Curt Manufacturing quote....."Hitch #11771 will fit the 325xi and the 328xi only. We have found that the 335 does not have the same undercarriage, preventing the hitch from mounting." Why a trailer on a BMW ? ... I already have two trucks and a covered bike trailer, but it would just be cool to go on holiday with both the Bimmer and a bike. The trailer I plan to buy folds up, so it can be placed in the BMW trunk at various destinations, with both the Bimmer and Aprilia now ready for the twisties. The 140 lb folding trailer (link below) and a 400lb bike present no weight issues for the E90 as a car trailer is not uncommon in Europe. http://www.trailerinabag.com/index.html I often transport folding kayaks with my motorcycles, so trailering a motorcycle on a 335 is of no concern. http://yostwerks.com/DillonFold1.html - 10 pages ( "Next Page" to continue) Think of it.....An e90 / e92 with a kayak and bicycle on top, and a motorcycle behind. Who says you can't take it with you Best Regards, Tom Last edited by Yostwerks; 01-10-2009 at 12:15 PM.. |
