vishnu oft with 3-stage manifold
Is it possible to use the vishnu oft with the 3-stage intake manifold and get the proper gains?
Has anybody done this yet? Car is an 06 325i 6mt |

I don't think the OFT can adjust lift, which is where the 325i is crippled the most. OE is a very solid tuner, and posted impressive gains on the dyno thread. I would check them out - there is also AA and Evolve as well.

I'm not saying it is impossible. It is more in depth than most people realize. After talking with Salman from Evolve for months it seems like you better know exactly what you are doing or you could run into serious issues.

It flashes the dme - you can do whatever you want if you know what to look for. OFT doesn't "control" anything, its basically a tune uploader. AFAIK theres nothing stopping anyone from flashing whatever bin they want to.

I wouldn't even attempt this with the marginal (at best) support the OFT thread has received.. We had to hunt the guy down for him to show the thread some attention. Can't comment on how it is now, but if you run into serious problems, how long are you going to wait for a response from Vishnu.. Trial and error flashing a dme with a shakey support system is a terrible idea. I would wait for the maps to be unlocked and to be shown a pulse in the OFT thread. It's not impossible be given the information that we do know, I would tread lightly until Vishnu can really help and show support

TheAxiom and TheSt|G, I have not been on this forum very long, but all I have seen is that both of you are extremely stuck up, and begin to go crazy at the mere mention of the word "bargain" or anything that is a cheaper alternative.

to be fair - it's not going to do it out of the box (as in, it doesn't come with a bin file pre-made for the 3-stage manifold). But, technically it has the capability to adjust whatever you want, since it's basically just a DME flashing tool. It's up to the end users at this point to come up with their own tunes.

Proving my point. I work in the corporate automotive field, and see tons of different techs. The master techs are always subtle and open. The oil change techs are the stuck up ones that think they know everything. Guess which you are. |

I'm the one who knows what the fuck I'm talking about, you must be the other guy. Tell you what - buy it and have fun with the lack of support and power. There is a dyno thread (I MADE) that would have steered you in the right direction should you have wished to do some research. Don't be upset that I'm telling you the truth, but you're right - It's my fault for trying to help.
