First mod on the way - Need help
So my 06 325i 6MT does not have a sport package. I am going to put new wheels on it and drop it. I am going with the M5 replica's. Need your thoughts...
Should I go with 18" or 19"? Should I stay with runflats tires ($$$) or get non-runflats ($$)? I'm looking at Potenza's runflats and Falken 452's non-runflats. Eibach Pro-kit drops. The car is my daily driver, I want it to look good, a little less wallowy, but still comfortable, not crazy jarring or stiff. Right now my inclination is to go with 18" non-runflats. |

19s for sure. Looks so much more aggressive. Definitely non-runflats.

18's + non-runflats = more comfort
19's + runflats = a lot more jarring. So how about 18's + runflats? I also think that the brake rotors are small, will show thusly more prominent with the 19's??... |

+1 18's look small on the 3er, but if I had to go with 18's I'd get the 162 but the thing I don't like about oem rims are there to damn heavy....moral of the story go with 19's I mean some members are sitting on 20's now thats big |

For those who suggested non-runflats, have you looked into something like this?

19's non-runflats. Im currently still on stock 18" RFT's...and they are horrible IMO. About to purchase a set of 19" Gunmetal CSL's from EAS. Cant wait

Contrary to the majority of the replies, I believe I will go with 18 non-runflats. I am in the car for 100-120 miles perday routinely, and my other 2 cars are an MBZ AMG with 19's and an SUV - Not soft riding vehicles themselves. So I think the 18's will be back friendlier in the long run.
Besides, I told the wheelshop initially to go with 18's and by the next morning, they said the wheels were being shippped and changing the order will entail recalling UPS charges and restocking charges. Not very customer friendly, but... I thinnk I will enjoy the 18's too. |
