Very Nice video! I wonder if the gains without the cat would be similar with the stock exhaust?

Does the PE still gurgle and pop with secondary cat delete?

The note is more smooth and perfectly clean. The back fire is more extreme.

Wow, this is without a tune?! I was planning on doing this when I get my car back (been 2 months) but now I'm actually EXCITED instead of worried. Please post pics of the piping! How much did it cost you?

OP please post pics of the piping like HOOY asked for. I have been wanting to do this but they sit on a bend in the pipes and are a pain to cut out.

I have my secondary cats cut out too and it makes the BMW PE sound even better. I was getting really loud pops when revving up and letting off on the throttle at one point, almost like gun shots lol but was just messing around in a tunnel. Definitely my favorite mod to date -- even if it's just for the exhaust note.

Just make sure you can swap them back in when aircare time rolls around. Visual inspection will get you unless you know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody and I might know somebody.

Isnt aircare shutting down at the end of 2014!? What cat? Lol

I gotta pay those guys at evolution a visit to weld me straight pipes

Did they drop your exhaust or they did the cuts on the hoist?

I had the PE already on, so they just popped off the Y section, chopped off the exhaust right before the cats started and welded everything in place. I initially had 2 "test" pipes clampped into place, but it only presented exhaust leaks so I had to get it welded and sealed. The curvature of the twin parallel pipes are very tight and can be a bit of a struggle.

I don't have a lift for my car. It cost me $15 per weld, + cost of piping. I did it two years ago so I don't remember the exact price.

Thanks. Do you have any clips of sound? I was going to do this anyways but a power gain with it is awesome.
