Hey Florida residents....

I'm a regular here on the forum, and I'll be joining you guys in the southeast region shortly. I'm moving to FL, and I have a few questions:

1. What do I need to transfer my MD driver's license to FL?

2. Since my car is registered and titled in MD, do I have to change both registration and title?

3. Can I not register/title my car in FL, and leave current registration/title at my MD address since I still own a house in MD, btw....I'm active duty service.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Well, I believe that since you still have a residence in MD you should be able to keep your license/registration in that state until you no longer have that house. Even if you sell the house, I think there is a 6 month grace period that the government allows, so you could stall for a little while. hope this helps!

you can have the title in MD til you've been a Resident here for 12 months, than after that, evertying is neglected and you must get your registration license and titles here in FL
