DPFix Troubleshooting
Ok, running vrsf dps, have the bms dpfix, installed following the DIY, did everything right as far as I can tell. I keep pulling codes on start up, pulling 02 sensor and lamda codes, cant make heads or tails of whats going on.
I have tried the drive cycle, tried highway for distance. If anyone has experience on this, would appreciate some tips! I've read a lot of threads on this topic, cant find the info I need. Sorry for a topic that has likely been beat to death.

I can clear the codes, but it only lasts for that drive. The moment the car turns off the code resurfaces on the next start up.
Short of waking up early, clearing codes and driving for an hour before going to emissions, I got no clue... |

Have you tried adjusting the knob for the signal strength?

I did, I set it to 5, stock seeing was @ the 6 o clock position. If I'm holding it with the wires up, which way should I adjust?

Got a response from bms, they recommended removal and returning the dpfix for a refund as the product is no longer sold it supported... Shame that they are under such ridiculous pressure.
Soooo any suggestions? |

According to the manual, wires facing away from you, counter clockwise is stronger. 11PM is off, 6PM is a good starting point and 1PM the strongest. It mentions codes if you have it set too strong or too weak. Too weak = 29F4/29F5, too strong = 2C31/2C32. If you get 2C31/2C32 it can take 20-30 miles of driving to get them to clear.

Definitely don't return it. It's working, you just haven't got the signal dialed in.

I'm not about to return it. Supply and demand!
These became gold once bms stopped selling and supporting. I'm going to adjust tonight. I'll report back with success /failure. A lot of people are going to have questions that bms cannot answer any longer. |

Keep playing around with it. You'll eventually get it dialed in. Also double check your O2 wires to make sure you haven't switched them. The fix works as I was using one before I installed the Procede. From what I recall, it's not a good long term solution though as it muddles with the fueling/signal or something. I would hook up only for cat ready purposes only and run some type of tune with autoclear to keep the light off on your "off road vehicle only".

OP did you ever figure out the issue with the P2F12 code? I just installed DP fix and go this one...Cobb says "air compressor control" as the fault code description.

The code is kind of a false positive from what I could find out and told when asked around incl a BMW tech. I did manage to get the car into a ready state with the dpfix installed and after emissions passed, removed the dpfix and have not seen the code pull again.

After a month of DP's and DP fix I just got the 2C32 and 2C6C codes (O2 Sensors Bank 2). Everything I can find just says to remove the DP fix. Is that the only solution? Why would this just pop up after a month?
Edit: And after reading one more post I think I understand now. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=2c32+2C6c Last edited by trohde78; 06-06-2015 at 09:37 AM.. |

Thanks, Tiago. I have a JB4, but I thought it would be better to leave autoclear off and just take the downstream O2's out of the mix. Does autoclear only clear emissions codes?
