JB E90 - V713 - H&R Cupkit
OK, this is NOT a photoshoot...I'm posting this simply for research purposes . When I was searching for wheels and a drop, I went crazy combining pix and threads to compare. Well, if you're curious about the 713's and a drop on an E90, here's mine.
19" V713 +35/+33 with falkens (235/265) H&R cupkit touring The wheels are even better in person! Quality appears fine, and they exceeded my expectations. I'm pretty conservative, so I was worried about the 713's looking too "aggressive", but they turned out fairly classy looking IMO. When I was looking for suspension combos, there were a million options. I didn't want to spend the money for coilovers, since I'm still laid off and unemployed . I didn't want to just use springs either. The cupkit includes springs and matched shocks...which everyone else combines on their own. I was confused why so many people buy springs and shocks separately, especially since it can cost more than the cupkit itself. I'm no expert, so I decided to leave the spring/shock matching up to H&R with their cupkit. I've had KW coilovers on my previous BMW, and I can honestly say that the feel is similar. Compared to my stock sport suspension, this cupkit surprisingly feels more comfortable and smoother. Of course, I also switched out the runflats, so that played a factor. It seems that the drop is similar to H&R sport springs. I didn't want a major drop, so I was hoping this kit wasn't too low. It turned out perfect for me. If you're considering a spring/shock combo, I would recommend adding the H&R cupkit to your list. THANKS TO BOBBY, DEWEY (sp?), AND BRAD OVER AT BAVARIANX FOR THE GREAT PRICE AND SERVICE! THEY HAVE HELPED ME MOD MY LAST 3 BMW'S, AND I'M GLAD TO HAVE USED THEM FOR MY 4TH. Last edited by Perpetrator; 07-06-2009 at 07:42 PM.. |

Thanks everyone. I forgot to mention that its only been about 3 days, so it may/may not settle some more. Just took her out for a random drive since the weather is just too nice right now.
You're right. I was thinking of the Eibach/FSD combo when I was doing the price comparison. It's still a great option tho |

Looks good. Do you know how much the lower the touring kit lowers the car vs. the stock sport suspension?

Not sure about the measurements for E92. For my E90 ZSP I had about 2 finger gap in the front, and 1 in the back. With this kit, the fenders are just about even with the wheels all around. If you look at other E92's with H&R sport springs, that will be what you'll prob be at with the touring kit. |
