Hi all, new to the forum as I'm not a BMW driver myself. Bought my brother a set of BMW OEM gloss black grilles for his birthday to match the shadowline trim on his new E92. Lo and behold, the shipper ran my card twice, and shipped me two sets. This will not do.

As I mentioned, this is the BMW OEM part for the E92 produced from March 2010 to present. Part numbers are 51712158984 and -985.

Bought them new for $125 + shipping. You'll be getting the UNOPENED ones; I opened one set to ensure it's what it is supposed to be and to photograph them for this post. Looking for $100 + shipping for the pair, but I'm open to offers. I'm located in SoCal, so I'd be happy to do an in-person sale to anyone located in San Diego, OC, or LA counties. I'm a photography gearhead myself, and I know buy/sell forums can be hesitant to deal with a brand-noobie.

Do you know if these are jet black or sapphire black?

Hmm... not sure. The part is described as "gloss black", which matches the shadowline window trim. I specifically hunted for gloss black because when we were out at Bimmerfest a few months back the vendors all had matte black kidneys in stock... nobody had glossy ones!

I don't know if this provides the clues you need to help answer the question. Maybe someone else will be able to deduce the answer from what I've said here...

Also, just to confirm, you are shopping for this part for a coupe, yes? The sedan takes a different part.
