Winter tires are Mandatory in Quebec

This started in 2008. First year showed 17% drop in collisions and 36% drop in collisions causing injury or death.

Winter tires are a good idea, but I don't support government intervention. We have enough of that in Canada.

Plus, drivers in Quebec stink to begin with.

It's a great Law
Get these retards rolling around in winter with 20 dollar recapped winter or all season tires.
30 + min trying to get up a hill in winter cause some douche cant get up the hill because of his tires.

Cops are not posting roadblocks just to see if you have winter tires or not.
but get into an accident that could have been avoided with winter tires and you deserve that extra fine.

As for Quebec stinks
Don't know were you drive but
If any Ontario Driver can respond to this question
WHAT IS THE LEFT LANE IS USED FOR!!!
and respond correctly I will be very, very surprised.

Winter tires should be a law in Ontario, many driver thinks there is no difference, esp if there is no snow on the ground and sunny, ppl think its summer. It should be an additional charge when a car gets into an accident without winter tires. If it would help reduce accidents and save lives I support it 100%. Sadly a lot of people need to die first or at least plenty of accidents to happen before things change.

I believe 99.5% will not answer correctly or don't even know what the answer is. If you ask ppl in Europe they will know the answer 99.99% correctly.

I thought Ontario drivers were bad... Until I went to Winnipeg! Drivers there are like small town drivers that think that they are the only ones on the road. They don't signal they tailgate, and they have the odacity to get mad at you if you leave a car length between you and the car in front at a stop light.
Get it together Winnipeg... I can't read your mind, I don't know if you want to make a lane change if you don't signal... I wasn't there when you made your to do list in the morning, so I don't know which road you will be turning to next

But back on topic... I agree, winter tires should be mandatory!
