This was posted a few weeks ago regarding screenwash where the mixture was 1:1

1/3/5 Series, X1 & X3 3 bottles (3 litres)

6/7 Series & X5 4 bottles (4 litres)

So that would lead one to assume 6 litres on a 3

Thanks for that....do you know if the washer fluid has a over flow type pipe? or will it just come up right to the top when filling it?

When I fill mine, it will eventually overflow however it gets to a point where it seems to keep taking water even though it looks full so I am guessing there might be an overflow pipe (all be it a small one).

thats what i get too which made me think there is an overflow somewhere cos it seems to take as much as you pour into it and dont see it come up to the top!

I also couldnt see any under the car?!!

its magic!! lol

PS I just bought 5 litres of the concentrate (in 1 ltr bottles) from Sandals Hudds for £15. Thought its better then one big gallon of 5ltr as this way i can dilute it into an empty gallon of 4ltr that I have and keep in the boot.

I just wait for the low level light to come on, then put 2 litres of screen wash in then top up with water.

1 litre in summer.

There is NO secret or hidden overflow, just keep filling till it keeps coming out of the filler top.

If you want to do a mid-fill top up though then you have to pre-mix else you don't know how much space there is...

I'm sure the capacity is in the user manual.

7 litres sounds familiar.

6-7 litres sounds about right to me...I fill it with a 2 litre bottle of mineral water and usually have to make 3 trips to the sink!
