INPA lead question
Hi all,
I have an OBD-USB lead labelled 'OBD Programmer' and on the other side it's got a list of makes on it.. including BMW. Do I have to have a 'INPA specific' lead for it - Or can I download INPA software and use this lead? In all honesty I can't remember what I originally purchased the lead for, may have been a Vauxhall to use OPCOM with. Just need to reset my airbag light on my E90 as I fitted new seats & didn't realise they were pre-LCI so didnt have active headrests. Thanks in advance! Jordan |

Can't be certain but trying to jog my memory I believe this may well actually be a Galletto. I do have an OPCOM lead too though.
Anyone know if either will work with INPA? Thanks |

Not really, the cable I got can be tested without plugging to the car. The software won't start unless it's plugged to the laptop,

Most INPA compatible cables would have a label similar to that depicted in the image at the link below.
http://www.ecutool.com/proimg/BMW%20..._3505017_A.jpg There are many OBD cables that are built to a generic ELM 327 standard which read basic generic OBDII data such as water temp, RPM etc.

Getting it all up and running took me many hours of pissing around installing uninstalling downloading different versions etc. If you have the patience stick with it when u do get it up and running it's well worth having
