Typical brake cahnge interval

Hey when have you guys changed your brakes, I've got 43,000 km and i've had the red service light come on just wondering if its really true ? do we change the brake fliud as well???

I have to change my brake fluid next month. Just go through your system checks and it should tell you. Then it has your brakes both front and back also.

Brake pad wear is 100% based on driving conditions. When I worked in Palm Springs, we would see cars come in every 20k miles for brakes because there was 90% stop and go in the area. Where I am now, most cars go longer because there's more freeway access.
