Brake problem
Thought I'd ask you knowledgable guys on here before going to the stealers.
I've had new oem discs and pads all round on my 330d, bought the parts from BMW and got my local garage to fit them. A few weeks passed and I started to notice the car seemed to be braking as I was driving. Further inspection revealed the rear o/s disc was getting extremely hot and looked like it was wearing quickly. Took it back to the garage, they disassembled it and informed me the pads seem to be locking, not fully, on the disc but the caliper was fine. They adjusted the handbrake a little through the hub to see if that made a difference but unfortunately it didn't. It's weird because it's only the o/s rear that's dong this. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

The handbrake won't make any difference as it does not operate on the pads. Either the piston in the caliper is sticking (they are not wind-back) or there is a blemish on the sliding pins causing the pads to stick. Either way it's the local garage's responsibility I would suggest.
I'd remove the pads myself and clean the pins with a wire brush.

Sticky caliper. Get it replaced.
It is is/was cooking the disc it might have ruined that too, along with the pads.
