Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle 75w90

Today I have just topped up my diff oil with Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle 75w90, but they say this oil is for gearboxes/trannies.
Is what I have done today wrong? Can this oil damage my diff? Please help me out. My car is a manual and my diff is not LSD
