whistler driving

so im heading up to whistler for a day after finals this week. most likely it will start snowing. according to the weather network. i armed myself with the following weapons: blizzak lm-25's on oem wheels, metal shovel, snow brush and ice scraper. will i make the trip?

just looking for some opinions from people whos done similar in their bm.

u'll be fine with the winter tires...just be careful when u drive.

It's the same set up I run all winter. I drive up north in Ontario often and I'm slammed. It's seriously not a problem unless it's a blizzard. I throw about 50lbs of gravel in a bag in the trunk right over the rear axle to help put the power down, it helps a lot imo. Also be sure to have a full tank of gas and some spare washer fluid.

Been to Whistler a few times, so I know that road can be long and daunting especially in a rwd Bimmer with the snow coming down. Follow my advice, drive carefully and you're good!

You should be fine. I've been up and down 3 times in the last month and I had no problems driving around. Using Blizzaks WS60's...

yeah..you should be fine..i went there 2 days ago..it wasn't that bad..just becareful..!

you'll be fine.
just take it easy and drive according to weather/road conditions.
when i lived on the fresh-coast i could that drive in my sleep... and it's easier & safer now.

this is great news. now i feel like going up there more. im planning on tossing my 19"wheels with tires on in the trunk to help get more traction. thx for the feedback.

The new whistler hwy has a lot of snow clearing vehicles on it, so unless you get caught in a blizzard you should be fine.

I wouldn't go that far. The weight wont be balanced either and they could pose a danger in the event of an emergency.

call me crazy, but i want it to snow. gotta try out these new snows. its my first winter with actual snows. been running all seasons for the last 3 years until my factories were replaced my lc's
