It's the same set up I run all winter. I drive up north in Ontario often and I'm slammed. It's seriously not a problem unless it's a blizzard. I throw about 50lbs of gravel in a bag in the trunk right over the rear axle to help put the power down, it helps a lot imo. Also be sure to have a full tank of gas and some spare washer fluid.
Been to Whistler a few times, so I know that road can be long and daunting especially in a rwd Bimmer with the snow coming down. Follow my advice, drive carefully and you're good! |

You should be fine. I've been up and down 3 times in the last month and I had no problems driving around. Using Blizzaks WS60's...

you'll be fine.
just take it easy and drive according to weather/road conditions. when i lived on the fresh-coast i could that drive in my sleep... and it's easier & safer now. |

The new whistler hwy has a lot of snow clearing vehicles on it, so unless you get caught in a blizzard you should be fine.

I wouldn't go that far. The weight wont be balanced either and they could pose a danger in the event of an emergency.
