For some reason no one seems to run these. Just the springs...

From what I've heard the H&R coilovers are awful (harsh ride). Not many people choose those over the Bilsteins or KWs. I don't have experience with the H&R coilovers, but that's what I've heard.

I'm sure you did your research before buying though, so maybe they'll be fine for you.

I run H&R street performance coilovers on my Ford Fiesta

The bimmer, I have Ground Control. H&R is currently the only choice for coilovers for the Fiesta in the USA. I wish I would have waited. It rides way too stiff and is only height adjustable. My GC in full comfort rides damn near as comfortable as stock and still performs better. At full stiff, well...it's stiff.

When I drive my Fiesta on the highway, I head straight to the high occupancy lane...because it's the smoothest lane and the ride with H&R is bad enough that the difference between the lanes really matter. If the roads are bumpy on a turn, the Fiesta is all over the place, because the H&R coilovers are just too stiff. Perhaps the bimmer suspension system will do better with the H&R then my Fiesta, because it is way more refined and complex then the Fiesta. Honestly, I feel I made a mistake goign with H&R and I will probably be getting different springs rates.

I beg to differ. I've rode in FK, KW and H&R equipped cars and by far the best riding one was the H&Rs. The RFTs do make up for a lot of the harsh ride but when the 19s are on they handle bumps with ease. H&R also uses an inverted shock setup in the front which does a lot better with handling side forces than the regular shaft style.

A lot of people are misinformed on here, time to set some things straight for the record.

I'm considering the H&R as well and although I've only run their springs before I doubt they'd be harsher than Bilsteins which are the stiffest imo. I just wonder how they compare to KW V1s...?

To be honest I like them better over the v1s. No potential leaks or squeaky shocks/springs, and with the locking collars made of aluminum and not plastic based, there isn't any chance of stripping it.

With xis there is no way you can 'over lower it' in the front, with v1s you can...you start to run into all sorts of bad axle/cv joint angles which is bad for high speed operations.

I am curious how H & R Coilovers hold up. They were recommendd to me by two different people who have run different setups and they prefer the H & R's.

I have H&R coils on my e92. I havent had any bad experiences with them. Ride is rough but that can be said with any coilovers... currently raised for winter riding on rft.. summer it gets dropped with no rft...
