strange ignition wire problem
so, i had my kenwood double din out of my car for warranty repair and was just using my iPhone via headphone to RCA to use as my source (the same rca's the kenwood was using). the RCA's run to my P-DSP. temporarily, i was using the ignition wire (or accessory. it's the wire that only has power when you're in accessory mode or ignition) from the kenwood's wiring harness as a remote turn on wire. everything was working fine until i plugged the ken wood back in. i get no power from that accessory wire when in accessory mode or the engine is running, but there's power to it when i remote start my car from my alarm. no wiring was changed. also, i get 4 blinks from my alarm (clifford 590.2x) LED and was told that it has something to do with the ignition/accessory wire problem i'm describing. any thoughts on this? my ground and 12v constant are fine and if i connect the P-DSP remote wire to this 12v constant it all powers up but not if i use the same accessory wire ive been using for the last years without issue. why the hell would it only have power when remote started all of a sudden?
