Manual clutch stuck

Hi,
I have had my car sitting for 4 months now and today i decided to take it for a drive.
started fine and i was ready to put it in gear when i realized the clutch is all the way to the floor and can't put the car into gear.

i checked the fluid and everything is fine with no leaks on the floor.
i tried to pump few times but when i pull the clutch up and try to push down it feels empty, no resistance.

What might be causing this and what can i check next?
Thank you.

Did you check the linkage. Sounds like the pedal is no longer conected to the master.

Here is an assembly drawing to help. http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...07&hg=35&fg=05

Hi, no I didn't.
I will check tomorrow.

Why would the linkage just disconnect by itself? (thinking outloud here).
When I parked the car last time all worked fine.

Thank you.

Air in the line.the bubble made its way back to a place where it's not allowing the fluid to push and do the work. Check your brake fluid reservoir, it shares the same container with the clutch . If it below the line air could have gotten in slowly over time , especially if it was on an incline. If the fluid is all the way up to the line, pump the clutch with your hand until it the pressure comes back. If still nothing, it might need to be bled. You could also have a leak at the slave cylinder, or even the clutch delay valve area. Look for fluid.

An update.
As i took everything from the bottom and went to buy stupid tool as it is impossible to get to the clutch bleed valve, I said let me put fluid above the top line as I bleed. (pumping didn't help), this thing gobbled fluid as I was adding but always stayed above the top line.

It took about 100-150ml and I pumped the clutch and done. Few laps around and it is all good. Makes me mad.

Now, I have to put the bottom cover back in.

Thank you for your input.
Lesson learned here.
