INPA is a very useful tool to help diagnose our cars. If your a DIY guy it's a must have. Reads codes, clears codes, and performs tests on individual components and can show a roundabout way what is wrong with car.

I guess you have to also learn BT tool also. You should already know that if you have it. Play around with it and find out if it does. You know more than me when it comes to BT tool!

My car was acting like yours. Dealer told me it was the low pressure fuel pump. It was replaced and I had them replace the fuel filter. Good thing I have a cpo and paid the deductible for the pump. Filter was expensive. Had them replace all vacuum lines. Car runs good and sounds better. I installed my jb+ and couldn't be happier. Hopefully that's all I need. HPFP was replaced before I bought my car.

Turn up the boost to 17 psi today from 15 on a WOT run with meth to test it and everything is back to normal. (0-110 mph) The car runs perfect, in fact it seems to run better than I ever remembered. Funny how a faulty sensor can make the car run so terrible. Again I cant stress this anymore...Anyone with a 29F3 code, change out the Low Pressure sensor..

Hey CN, sorry didn't read your thread but had some questions.
1. Did you diagnose LP sensor from INPA. If so, what did you observe? 2. Can you read voltage to the LP pump from INPA. 3. Using INPA to diagnose, can you do this while ragging the car? But only real time info? 4. Is the LP sensor the only part you changed during your troubles. |

2 you can perform a LPFP test with INPA, but I did not go to that step. I would probably have if sensor did not fix my issues 3. with my tune Procede, I can not communicate with INPA unless it is in valet mode (map 0). So can't see really time with tune but only stock form. 4. Yes LP sensor was only thing I changed, but I have the LPFP waiting if I need to install it as I already bought it.. |

to get to that page in INPA
>Choose E90 >Engine >MSD80 >F5 Status Analog \ Digital >F2 Analog Measurement Block >F6 MWB6 A value around 5000 Hpa is normal...If you have a hPa value that is pegged higher then ~5000 Hpa then the sensor is shot and needs to be replaced. Mine was pegged at 7403 and did not fluctuate at all... Good luck Last edited by cn555ic; 12-12-2012 at 09:18 PM.. |
