GREAT GUY = SUPER HELPFUL!!

Ended up changing all plugs and coil packs, dropped oil, changed filters.

Ran it on the Dyno and made 255.4kW.

Now to change the fuel pump to cope.
Interested to know the total price for the plugs and coil packs etc...

What sort of power do you get with the JB4 upgarde over standard and is JB4 the best option?

It's one of the best.

Using Marc's car as an example I think he dyno'd at ~190 stock and 250 after tune. 60kw gain at the wheels is bloody awesome

Was reading the jb4 vs procede chart and it looks like procede has a few extra 'safety' features?

Roughly how much more HP would you gain with a 'full' exhaust, cai & fmic with a JB4?

Is the $550 fitted, meaning sans dyno tune? (surely so!)

I have been looking for a 550i for a while, decided to drive a E92 coupe as I had always loved the styling sound (plus the ability to extract a heap more HP for next to nix is attractive also) and after driving a manual I am definately on a lookout for a neat manual E92!

Yes thats $550 fitted, a dyno is available at Advan performance for ~$70 I believe.

The downpipe part of the exhaust proves to add around 20-30kw at the wheels
http://www.bmrautowerkes.com.au/prod...ess-downpipes/

The midpipes and rear muffler will maybe give 5-10kw if that...

So, conservatively, a 'full' turbo back exhaust would give ~25-35kw... still pretty good gains and doing downpipes is still good bang for buck.

The CAI can add 5-10kw and priced from as low as $139.
http://www.bmrautowerkes.com.au/prod...l-cone-intake/
or the nicer looking, but more expensive AFE
http://www.bmrautowerkes.com.au/prod...intake-system/

FMIC only adds 5-10kw... do it for cooling purposes, not if you want to chase power.

Hey guys,

Stock mode:

FULL TUNE - JB4

Only other 'performance mod' is K&N Filter which some would argue doesn't change much.

In saying that - Its exactly 76.6KW difference.

I'd love to chase 300...

300kw-400kw in a 335i is possible. You just need to get a Meth Kit, Downpipes etc... Take a look at Pete @ Advan Performance who is chasing 400kw.

That's a big range. To get over 300 your gonna need a lot more than fbo + meth

True Pav, but I'm not exactly sure what else Peters has got hidden on that 335i. Hopefully he can chime in here!

Rob which Pete are you talking about?

Pete at Advan has about 260 kw atw iirc. His car is still currently 'lightly' modded in the engine department.

FBO + meth usually gives you 300 or just shy of 300 atw.
