Likely not because it's still a repair and logged by and through your VIN. Unless you're very close with someone in service and they're willing to do something on the side, you can only get a replacement with a VIN.

i'm finally getting mine done. Got the call the other day and bringing my car in next Wednesday.

Was their another supplier of airbags? I have a 2007 328i E90 and the airbag recall is not listed for my VIN?

only certain batches i assume..... my 2011 e90 does not have thr airbag recalls.

I ended up having to call my dealer and ask if the parts were available and to my surprise, they did have it so I am booked to have that finally taken care of... after over 2 years of waiting.

I suggest others to call their dealers because I never got a letter saying the part was available nor did I receive any phone call. Who knows how much longer I would have waited if I didn't take the initiative to call and find out.

That reminds me, I should get a new cover and stuff so they can possibly just replace it all at the same time. The plastic that surrounds all my buttons and such is looks kind of bad, so I'd love a new one.

But the trim is not removed during airbag removal. Nothing but the airbag comes out, so they might charge you for that.
