Update:

Shop is on board, I need 4 more at minimum to make it happen. Will be solid pricing. If we can get 10, will be even better. Once I get the official list from them I will created a new thread and link to it. They will also be able to do oil filter housing gaskets at a reduced rate.

Currently reaching out to find a small shop ideally with an air compressor to rent/use for the weekend. If you know of one in the Metro Detroit area please PM me.

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA FOR ANY 135 or 335 owners!

Hey guys,

Just completed a DIY walnut blasting of my 335i 6MT. Was running pretty rough (acceleration and idle) but now is awesome a MUST do!!

Decided on a DIY after Erhard BMW in Farmington quoted my $850+
Pretty much had to buy all the equipment but have it for next time.. Valves were pretty bad after 45k -see pics. Luckliy was able to model on CAD and have made a vacuum adapter made at work (3D printer) which worked great!!

Jet washed the intake manifold too as was gunky with oil and crap..

If the group thing doesn't materialize, send me a PM and I might be able to help you out now that I've already done it and have all the stuff..

Chris

Chris,

Thanks for posting this up! Ingenious on the 3d printing, I can't believe I didn't think of that.

PM'ing you in a second.
