Can I drive my car in winter with an Mtech?

Hello fellow Canadians! New guy here from Ottawa and just recently purchased an 07 328xi.

I am planning to do a few mods and was wondering about the Mtech front bumper and if anyone drives in the snow with it on? Or a front lip for that matter? Too low?

No problem at all if it is installed properly. I even plow through the snow. You do need to make sure the paint on the bumper os durable from pitting, but then that applies to all bumpers.

No problem for me either here in Edmonton. Sometimes in the un-plowed residential areas the bottom lip or the side splitters "plow" through the snow but the paint and carbon fiber are both holding up nicely.

Welcome!

I am also in Ottawa, and recently picked up a AW 07 328xi

Personally, with our lovely roads, and our fantastic winters.. I think a lip kit would likely be too much.. (or atleast be prepared to re-paint/repair) every year or two...

The MTECH rear doesn't drop it down too too far... so probably a good option.

Even with the stock stance, many owners rub the bottom of their front bumpers in everyday driving...

I've previously had cars with so little clearance, that I couldn't put the toe of my shoe under the front lip! I guess it depends whether this is a DD for you, or more of a cruiser..

It all depends how well the streets are plowed.
