What are SES codes 171 and 174??

checked them on someone elses car, can someone tell me what they are for? Trying to decide if we need to remove his procede and take it to the dealer.

I can't confirm, but when I searched this site, this (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=code+171+174) is what I found:

174 Throttle valve sensor Potentiometer 1/2 Adaption
171 Engine throttle valve

174 Camshaft control
171 Fuel supply system

Im guessing he plugged on of the subconnectors in backward during the install?

took it out, didnt notice if anything was backwards or not....strange. Car was running fine it seemed.

whats even stranger is that now his nav DVD and CD deck are not working.

oh... Then it's probably either a blown fuse or a bad battery or ground. That's my guess at least.
