No offense meant to those with black interior and gray headliners but the car in my sig came with black interior and gray headliner and it bugged me to death for some reason....too much contrast, with those gray front pillars lookin' at me as I looked out the windshield. Then I sat in an M3 with anthracite headliner....ahhhhh!!!! Much better. But hey, I'm like Monk that way. LOL So, I went and got anthracite front, middle and rear pillar covers and put them in. Made more sense to me for the black to stop at the ceiling rather than at the window sill/dash level. When you look out in any direction, you see black interior. I'm still thinking about doing a full black headliner. BUT, I am also thinkin' about an E92...lots! Here's a shot-

The trim looks absolutely gray, don't worry, and the combination of colors is fantastic, also for the back seat. I will post more shots, I have to clean the car before, now is to dirty. |

OK I am a little confused after reading the rest of this post. I ordered black leather, with gray pop. trim. Have never seen any of these in person yet as doing all my ordering online. In the states will the pillars and headliner be black also? I just emailed my dealer but haven't received an answer yet.

Hey thanks Oli, I just assumed they would make it black on black. I'm gonna be pretty pissed if they tell me I can't get it in black. I just checked out some pics with black piano/black leather. Pretty sweet but not sure if they'll let me do that either, and here I thought I was going to "custom" order my car. As of now have black leather with grey poplar ordered.

So pretty much they tell me I can't deviate at all from anything factory fitted. Sons of bitches. Guess I may have to rethink my whole color scheme.

Does anyone know why this shoulder control is partially black:
... and this one is mainly gray? What is the difference? They are both Jade Gray interiors. How do I know what I will get if I order this colour combo? I am in Canada BTW, if that makes a difference. - Ian |

I'm in Canada too and I have a Space Grey wityh Jade interior and the shoulder control is definitely grey. I guess the first photo is a pre-production car and didn't have the correct interior.
I can tell you the combo is awesome ! I love the contrast.

I've always got black leather on my cars. Never a light colour. I am very careful with items I own, and am not reckless with getting them scratched or dirty. But I was wondering if this is totally unavoidable with this colour combo. - Ian |

Just had my 328i for a week so can't say !!
But I had a 325Ci before with grey leather and no problem to keep it clean. The Jade grey is definitely lighter and will require more attention. But if you don't have a dog or kids, should be no problem. Hope that helps.

Guys, why doesn't the Creme Beige leathr come with dark carpeting as an option ? That Jade Leather shown above looks gorgeous against the dark carpet.

Is anybody having some pics of the black interior + black piano ??
Jason posted 1 pic with that interior and I am looking for a better look (considering changing my current order for black + grey poplar) Any comment welcome ?. Is the black piano easy to scratch and dent ? |

Does anyone have pictures of the saddle brown interior with grey poplar trim combination in the E92? I have serched relentlessly and have not found it. I recognize that both the saddle and grey poplar are difficult to photo so I am particularly interesed in coments from anyone who has this combination and lived with it for a while or has at least seen it in person.
