pbx help

hi all,

so i purchased the bms pbx used from someone on e90post about a month or two ago

tried installing about 3 times now.. and still having problems, gettin the low throttle symbol thinger where it's like half filled engine symbol

once with tape perpendicular to the wiring = fail (yeah i kno, the pics show parallel)

second with tape parallel along the wiring = fail
w/ this try, i took off the tape and had the connections exposed so i can make sure all wiring is visibly connected, the box open, ecu installed tightly in = fail

third with heat shrink = fail

is there anyway of testing whether it's the bms pbx that's screwing up, or the wiring? really wanna get this thing working, cuz it's just sitting around in my room.. and jus reminds me of my failure and disappointment

any advice would help.

Mike@n54tuning is nowhere near Vancouver, he's actually in Toronto. Who's an authorized dealer/installer for the BMS PBX in the vancouver area? I suggest you get someone who knows how to install it properly, you don't wanna mess anything up in that ecu.

Doubt its the tape but use electrical tape. I would double check you are connecting the pins to the right location.

Send it to me and I can have it sent for testing if you want (we'll warranty it even though you bought used) Could be a broken wire/connection. The tape should not matter as I use masking tape when I do installs and no one has had a problem and I have installed over 20 locally.

You can also be installing it incorrectly, so I would verify install 100% before sending it to me
