Sorry, I don't have time to read through this entire thread.
You can run stage 1+ aggressive map, 16psi. You don't have to have downpipes.

I am running this map although i have downpipe. It's stronger than stage 2 maps. Awaiting stage 2+ maps to be released
How about the stage 1+ aggressive FMIC map? That can be ran with no dp?

I am pretty sure I already know the answer, but can the dealership see if you have reflashed from the Cobb map back to stock? It doesn't store a date of when you did the flash, does it?

Dealers can see how many times the car has been flashed and when.

So in reality, if you encounter any issues with the car that need to be handled through warranty, flashing it back to stock and taking it in for service wouldn't do anything as they can still put you at fault.

So Cobb is actually the worst out of all tunes pretty much as it is trackable??

Technically it stores a number count. If your going for oil changes, brake changes, alignment, anything that will not require a read from the ECU dont uninstall your COBB flash.

If your going for anything related to engine malfunction do so. This will reduce the number of flashes but will still but you at risk of voiding your warranty if the dealer associates the failure points with your flash. Hence why its important to limit the visual exposure of your engine mods when you take your vehicle for service. Unless you and your SA have a good relationship...

99.9% of the time the dealer will not look for this data or even care if you tell them the car was flashed. Now, if your entire engine was grenaded and the regional rep got involved you might have an issue. Don't really hear about people's warranty claims being denied on this board despite the fact that a) everyone here has some sort of tune and b) everybody here loves to tell dealer horror stories. Not really an issue as far as I can see. Just get a tune if you want one and get on with life. If I waited until my warranty was up to modify my car I would never get to do anything since I change cars every two years. My best advice is to cultivate a good relationship with a dealership on the sales and service side and they will look out for you.

I am just trying to decide which route to go with, so it will impact my buying decision. Looks like it will be JB4 for me. I have the 100k mile warranty, so I don't want to take any unnecessary chances of warranty being denied. Thanks guys!

THANKS!

Also, another question. I have a 2013 E92 335i and I just purchased the Cobb AP from another member with a 2011 E92 335i. Would I simply need to download the manager and update my AP in order to use on my car? Or is my car not compatible yet w/ this older model AP..

I believe you have to wait for 2012-13 support. I'm anxiously waiting as well.

Stock 335i have still blown the charge pipe. I would recommend upgrading it.

CX charge pipe on eBay works fine.
